Synopsis

의정부 기지촌에서 미국 위안부로 40년 넘게 살아온 박인순은 미군 기지 철거를 알리는 뉴스 소식에 마음이 불안하다. 어느 겨울 밤, 인순은 동료 기지촌 여성의 죽음을 목격하고 그 장례식에 참석한다. 그리고 이승을 헤매는 유령들을 찾으러 온 저승사자들에게 발견된다. 저승사자들은 유령들을 데려가기 위한 이야기를 만들어내고, 인순은 그들에게 맞서기 위해 자신만의 이야기를 펼치기 시작한다.

Park In-soon has lived for more than forty years in the camptown of Uijeongbu as a survivor of U.S. military sexual slavery. When she hears news that the U.S. military base is to be demolished, she grows uneasy. One winter night, In-soon witnesses the death of a fellow camptown woman and attends her funeral. There, she is discovered by messengers from the underworld who have come to search for ghosts wandering between this life and the next. To take the ghosts away, the messengers begin to invent a story, but In-soon resists by weaving a story of her own.
